Your API key is generated automatically when your subscription is activated. There are two ways to find it:
**Method 1: RemappingWebsite.com Client Area**
1. Log in to yourRemappingWebsite.com client area
2. Navigate to **Services** > **My Services**
3. Click on your **Vehicle Lookup** service
4. Your API key is displayed in the service details under the custom field **api_key**
**Method 2: Admin Panel**
1. Log in to your Vehicle Lookup admin panel
2. Navigate to **Step 5: API Integration**
3. Your API key is displayed at the top of the page
4. You can copy the key using the copy button
**Important notes about your API key:**
- Your API key is a 64-character string of letters and numbers
- Keep your API key private. Anyone with your key can use your widget allowance
- If you believe your key has been compromised, you can regenerate it from the admin panel (this will require updating the key on your website)
- Your API key is linked to your account and controls access to your settings, styles, and VRM allowance
